The Bread of Life

We are very passionate about several things: our family, our lifestyle, and our food; but there is one thing that we are most passionate about and that is our relationship with Jesus Christ. The truth is, if you live to be 100 by eating right and exercising, but you do not know where you will spend eternity, then it was all in vain. Let me ask you the most important question you have ever been asked: If you were to die today, are you 100% sure you’d go to Heaven? If the answer to that question is “No,” than please take a few moments and read this. The Bible tells us how we can be sure about our eternity in Heaven. Look at these verses with me:
First, realize that God loves you:
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Realize you are a sinner:
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Realize that sin has a price that must be paid:
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Realize the Jesus died to pay that price:
Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Finally, ask Jesus to be your Saviour, and claim the promise of eternal life:
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Getting saved is not based on doing any good work, it is simply believing what Jesus has already done and then claiming it as your own. If you have never accepted God’s gift of eternal life, pray a prayer like this, “Dear Jesus, I am sorry that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all my sins. Come into my heart and save me. The best that I know how I am trusting in you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” Of course, it is not the prayer that saves you, it is what Jesus has already done on the cross that saves you and the belief in Him. If you ask Jesus to save you, then he will. John 6:37 says, “…And him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” If you just asked Jesus to come into your heart and save you, you can celebrate in the fact that when you die you will go to Heaven!
